Nigerian Women in Chemistry celebrate IUPAC 2020 Global Women Breakfast in Lagos, Rivers, Abuja, Osun and others.

Every female chemist and scientist should be part of this! Join women chemical scientists all over the world to participate in the IUPAC 2020 Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB2020) coming up on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

 

This annual event enables Women Chemists globally to connect with each other in a meaningful way to support their professional aspirations. The theme for GWB2020 is “Bonding to create future leaders” focusing on quality leadership development.

  • Who should attend #GWB2020?
  • Women and Girls in Chemistry and related Chemical Sciences profession;
  • All Female Chemistry lecturers, teachers, postgraduate and undergraduate and high school science students in universities, polytechnics, colleges and secondary schools;
  • Female chemical scientists, technologists and researchers in Scientific organizations, research institutes & laboratories;
  • Female scientific officers, chemical engineers, industrialists, administrators in Government MDAs and Industries;
  • Interested male chemical scientists and CSN leaders.

Special features at the Breakfast include: seminars, soft skills acquisition, quality interaction and of course ‘breakfast meal’. Eminent chemistry professors, accomplished female chemists, experienced administrators and industrialists are lined up as guests and keynote speakers at various chapters.

In Nigeria, Dr. Cynthia Ibeto of University of Nigeria, Nsukka is the National Coordinator, Women in Chemistry, with other state coordinators at various Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) Chapters nationwide.

It’s important to note that all events hold same day, WEDNESDAY, 12th February, 2020 but at different venues and time, across the country.
